Masahiro Mori Relief Mug
Made in Japan$50.00
We’re thrilled to welcome back a piece from one of our favourite porcelain producers, Hakusan Porcelain Company based in Nagasaki, Japan.
These fine, delicate mugs were designed by legendary Japanese designer Masahiro Mori in 1982. Masahiro Mori won the inaugural “Good Design” award in 1960 for his iconic ceramic vessels, and worked throughout the post-World War II period to design simple, elegant and practical porcelain pieces that suited the modern Japanese lifestyle.
These Relief Mugs have a unique geometric design in relief on their outside surface, with two different designs to choose from, either Dots or Diagonal Lines. The entire surface of the mug is glazed, and is made of delicate, translucent porcelain that is a feat of craftsmanship when held in your hand.
This beautiful mug is the ideal companion from which to drink filter coffee for years, or decades, to come.
